Keep writing Medea, and give us more! May 23, Freddie Rivera rated it it was amazing Recommends it for: Everyone. Enjoyed this story about Darcy's last promise to Elizabeth as the illness was to separate their life together. But after all, promises are promises. Fast forward. William and Beth meet. Same pride and prejudice occurs as in Austen's original Pride and Prejudice.
I'm sure if these two read Austen's novel, they would have avoided a repeat performance, but then there wouldn't be a story. Some of Austen's infamous characters are along for the ride, but fortunately some have changed their per Clever. Some of Austen's infamous characters are along for the ride, but fortunately some have changed their personalities. Amongst this story happening is the story Beth has written called Love Beyond the Grave going into movie production.

Good book. A quick read. I like this book but Beth in this book just got on my nerves. I found myself wanting to reach in the book and smack her. As a retelling it was alright and it had tons of potential but I just felt that it took to long to get to the point and that Beth was to thick in the head to see where she was wrong. That just messed up the book for me to be honest.

Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. The best part about this story is the way the author portrays Italy and the lifestyle of the people.

The scenery is spectacular and there is imagery all woven into the story. I believe that Eliana and Ross live too recklessly as they continually put themselves in each other's company so often in the beginning of the story. Mauricio is a terrible husband and father because of adultery and negligence.
See a Problem?
It just seems like there should have been a way to let Mauricio see the error of his ways without all of the very risky behavior of Ross and Eliana. This author is a good writer. His books are sometimes loosely based on someone's life, as this one is. He is able to weave a beautiful tale from their story. His writing is smooth, no wasted words, just lots of story. I don't always enjoy fiction, especially light love stories, but this has some meat to it. The protagonists are both interesting and have a full life, and they happen to come together and start liking each other.
I enjoyed it. It kept me reading and turning pages to see what would happen. Through thick and thin I love all of his books that I have read so far Verified Purchase. This book was purchased to give to a friend. I love this book, which takes place in Italy. I just recently re-read it and decided it was just too good not to share with a friend. I have a hard copy as well as a copy on my Kindle. Since I have it on my Kindle I could have given my friend my hard copy, but I just wasn't ready to let it go quite yet.
So I was very happy to find another copy in very good shape. One person found this helpful. Evans has a way of weaving a story. It was a little at first. I worried that it would become more of a physical relationship. I liked the way the story of sadness spoke of a husband's ability to be unfaithful but hers was wrong. He cared nothing for his child until he almost lost him. That was a pivotal point in the book.
